What's the difference between consulting, coaching, mentoring and counseling?
Consulting, coaching, and mentoring are similar. Consultants share their expertise in a given field. They can coach a client to set and achieve goals by asking helpful questions and providing resources. They can mentor clients by helping them understand best practices in the field. Career coaches are here to help you succeed with your career goals.
Counselors, therapists, psychotherapists and other licensed mental health professionals are there to help when there is a therapeutic need—personal issues, family relationships, loss, grief, support and self-exploration. For more information, go to my Disclosure Statement here.
